Namaste, I'm Aastha — Dallas–Fort Worth, via Kathmandu

Engineer. Realtor. Investor. Mum.

In 2016 I moved from Kathmandu to the United States for my master's in computer science — carried by my dreams and my family's support. Today I write Android code that millions of people trust with their money, I hold a Texas real-estate license, and my husband and I are mid-renovation on our third investment property — while our two boys keep us honest about what hard work really means. I believe in manifestation. I believe in work more.

My Story

Nobody handed me any of this.

Biratnagar → Kathmandu

Where I started

I grew up in Biratnagar and moved to Kathmandu on my own as a teenager for high school — science track, graduated with distinction. Then a degree in electrical & electronics engineering.

The Huawei years

Help desk to boardroom

My first job was answering broadband support calls at WorldLink. Two years later I was presenting fiber and 4G rollouts to Ncell and Nepal Telecom executives for Huawei. That's where I learned that engineering and selling are the same skill: know your numbers, respect your customer.

2016 · The move

The bet on myself

GRE, an admission letter, savings from my Huawei years — and my parents behind me whenever I needed them. A master's in computer science, a campus app built while studying, and a wedding the same year I graduated. America gave me the stage; I brought the work ethic.

Both worlds, at once

2 AM feeds and Kotlin

My first son came in 2020, my second in 2024 — the same year I passed the Texas real-estate exam. People ask me how. Honestly: when nothing was ever handed to you, you'd be surprised what you can carry.

Engineering

My craft: apps people trust with their money and their health

Ten years in, Android is home — Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, clean architecture. I learned it on products where a crash isn't an inconvenience, it's someone locked out of their bank account. That standard stays with me everywhere.

Real Estate

I don't just sell houses. I buy them.

When I hand a client an analysis, it's the same math I run before wiring my own money. My husband and I own two rentals and are mid-renovation on our third project — I passed the licensing exam in 2024, pregnant with our second son, because I wanted the profession, not just the paperwork.

What I'm Building Toward

I got tired of saying the idea out loud. So I built it.

Here's what I keep seeing from both of my worlds: people wire their life savings for an apartment that won't exist for two years, and then… silence. As an engineer that offends me, and as an investor I've felt it. What buyers are really paying for is certainty — and certainty is a software problem. So instead of describing my idea, I coded a small working piece of it into this page. Go ahead, move the sliders.

A live concept, coded for this page. Imagine it branded for your tower.

The full version, the way I'd ship it for a real developer:

  • Watch your home rise — weekly photo and video updates from the site, tied to your floor. The update you'd want if it were your money. It was mine once; I know.
  • Every dirham accounted for — milestone payments, receipts, escrow letters, title documents, all in one vault instead of a dozen emails.
  • An AI concierge that doesn't make things up — I test frontier AI models for a living, so I know exactly how far to trust them and where to put the guardrails.
  • And buyers, not just software — I'm a licensed Texas agent living in one of America's wealthiest South Asian communities. I can build the app and fill the webinar.

I'm looking for a visionary team to build this with. If that's you, scroll down.
